Trip details:

We will meet at Santa Ana Metro station (downtown Santiago), and from there we’ll make our way to the town of Pirque, a 30 minute journey. We’ll pick up our bikes and head to the Rio Clarillo National Park, right next to the Cordillera, and we’ll follow the ‘educational pathways’ through the park surrounded by pure nature, before stopping for a delicious picnic on the banks of the river. At midday we’ll make our way to the Haras de Pirque vineyard and horse-breeding centre, where we will take a tour of the vineyard. We’ll leave our bikes for lunch (lunch is not included: (Restaurant on the route) for the guided tour of the winery, where you will have the opportunity to sample the three wines made there (Chardonnay, Carmenere, and Cabernet Sauvignon), allowing us to get back to Santiago by 5.30 PM.

What you will need:

The route is very easy, with only a few light slopes, and as it is mostly level terrain, anyone who can ride a bike sufficiently well will be able to join the tour.

Just check what the weather will be like before leaving so you know what clothes to bring.
